When our loved ones move to a nursing home, they don’t lose their interest in cooking and learning about new foods. This class was designed to resurrect those math skills as residents measured ingredients, to involve the residents in stirring and mixing and to tempt the appetite with the aroma of fresh vegetables, bacon, chocolate and spices.

All it took was one bite, and staff knew they had a beneficial project. Laughter accompanied the “yummy” noises in the room. That’s success!
